This past weekend, Loving Home Care had the incredible honor of attending and participating in the Africa Day celebration here in Burlington, Vermont. It was truly a pleasure to learn more about the many ways our vibrant city supports not only the New American population in Vermont but also communities across the African continent.
We are deeply grateful to the event organizers for the kind invitation and for giving us the opportunity to speak about our company and the work we do. As an African-owned business, it was especially meaningful to connect with other organizations and individuals who are committed to uplifting African communities—both here and abroad.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the event's remarkable speakers, including:
Senator Martine Gulick
Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak
Eric Agnero, global citizen diplomat and African affairs specialist
Ali Dieng, Executive Director of BTV/Thies Sister City and former Burlington City Councilor
Maimouna Ba, human rights activist
Major Patrick Enriquez,
Director of International Affairs
Each talk was educational, insightful, and inspiring.
A special thank you also goes out to the talented performers and everyone who attended and contributed to the joyful atmosphere of the day. It was a beautiful celebration of culture, unity, and shared purpose.
We can’t wait for the next Africa Day!
